Katharine and Tommy took over the pub in Jan 2010. Since then they have built a fantastic reputation for fresh, seasonal and locally produced (where ever possible) homemade food. Katharine has been a Coeliac for about 10 years and has always found it a hassle to go out anywhere to dine 'as you can never be quite sure if the establishment fully understands all the ingredients that goes into making sauces - it's hard to trust when you have been wrongly advised so many times'. When the opportunity came to buy 'The Queens' Katharine and Tommy jumped at the chance...'we wanted to create a dining experience that Coeliacs and non Coeliacs could enjoy together. All of our sauces and gravys are homemade and Gluten and Wheat Free; all of our sausages and burgers are rusk free and only contain meat and herbs and our Gluten Free Batter for our fish and chips is just superb and has many customers coming back for them time after time'. The Inn has four letting rooms and of course the breakfast is Gluten Free.
